Polyxena ensifolia var. maughanii (Middelpos)

In comparison with var. ensifolia, this variety has its stamens included within the flower tube. Distribution overlaps with the type variety but is restricted to dolerite outcrops on the Bokkeveld and Roggeveld plateaus. Watch out for botrytis on the dead flowers!
