Conophytum flavum ssp. noviceum TS 756 (Wyepoort)
This has smaller heads than C. flavum itself and can build into large clumps both in the wild and in cultivation. It is a good "starter" plant. The distribution areas of ssp. flavum and ssp. noviceum actually overlap and in places they almost grow together without evidence of hybridisation. This makes makes me think that they are really different species in spite of their overall similarity.
