Conophytum jucundum ssp. marlothii TS767 (Nuwefontein se berg)

C. jucundum is incredibly variable throughout its large range in the Richtersveld. In the south-west of its distribution the bodies are particularly small and this is the subspecies marlothii. It is best known from Augrabies but the form illustrated is from a hill to the north-east of that range where the epidermis seems to be more grey, often with purple tints.
