Conophytum obcordellum TS603 (Lokenburg)

Widespread nocturnal species on Table Mountain Sandstone and consequently very variable in the leaf markings. Forms from the Oliphants River valley tend to have just a few spots but others on the hills each side of the valley are usually more richly marked. The favourite amongst collectors is the ecotype that used to be called "Ursprungianum" and an example of this is shown in the photograph.
