Conophytum pubescens TS443 (14km E Paulshoek)

The name implies that there are short hairs on the leaves, but they are no more pronounced than in the C. longum complex. The leaves are always green and some forms such as the one shown, have particularly pretty pink flowers. Further east around Platbakkies and Stofkloof, rather different plants with slimmer more-elongated leaves, that have also been given this name, can be found.
